Satoshi Nakagawa (中川悟志) is an absolute master in the industry, with a growing reputation as one of the best knife makers in Sakai.
Having trained directly under the legendary Kenichi Shiraki (白木 健一) for 16 years. and eventually taking over the workshop after Master Shiraki's retirement.
Nakagawa-San went on to open 'Nakagawa Uchihamono' in 2021, producing high quality knives under his own name.
Nakagawa-San's popularity has led to a lengthy wait time for custom knives. But such high quality blades take time to make, and trust us when we tell you, it is well worth it.
We were lucky enough to procure 2 of these beautiful Aogami #1 Suminagashi Damascus Gyuto for our store.
The Suminagashi (floating ink) pattern is truly stunning, and depending on the light, can be quite subtle. We have tried to take photos with different kinds of lighting so you can see for yourself.
Our photography skills might need a little sharpening, but it really is a beautiful knife.
Comes with custom fit Saya.
